Wizad AI Poster Maker, an app which enables easy designs for high-quality posters at low cost, especially for small businesses, has crossed 100,000 app installations and one million generated designs. The app was developed by young innovators Sanid MTP, Arwitvik Puravankara and Ashiq Abdul Khader, with the support of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
From modest beginning during the Covid-19 pandemic, the app now has customers from allover the world. Available on Android and Ios, the app initially facilitated design for certain brands, before its creators sensed huge opportunities and went ahead with plans that made it hugely popular.
The app can convert images shot on cell-phone into world-class designs. The kind of posters Wizad generates find special demand during festive seasons. During Onam this year, the app enabled the design for more than two lakh posters, Sanid said.

Ashiq pointed out that designing and photography have become the “most expensive forms”of advertising today. “In the ever-changing commercial environment, it is not financially viable for small businesses to always have professional service. After that, the charge for first 100 designs totals Rs 499. “If you take the Rs 1499 plan, you will get unlimited designs,” said Sanid. Kerala Startup Mission has provided Wizad various financial assistance. The company also received angel funding and seed funding. Wisad is also part of programs such as NVIDIA Inception Program, T-AIM and Nasscom 10,000 startups.
Wizad 1.0 is an advanced designer agent, and the upcoming Wizad 2.0 will expand its capabilities as a design andmarketing AI agent. With the support for over 100 languages, Wizad 2.0 aims to simplify both marketing and design tasks for users. Additionally, a mechanism will be introduced to offer premium design services at a fixed cost, alongside the integration of cutting-edge video generation AI models.
With over One Million posters already created from 1 lakh app downloads, the team now sets its sights on achieving 10 lakh downloads, paving the way for exponential growth.
