Mumbai. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency is set to release on January 17, 2025. The film has been generating significant buzz. Initially scheduled for release on September 6 this year, it faced delays due to the lack of a censor certificate. Now, the new release date has been announced.

Kangana shared a post on her Instagram account featuring the film's poster and a caption: "January 17, 2025 – The epic saga of the most powerful woman in the country and the moment that changed India’s destiny. Emergency will unfold only in cinemas."Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, Emergency is based on the year 1975 when the Emergency was imposed in India. In the film, Kangana will be seen portraying the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
