New Delhi. Amid strong global trends, gold prices rose by Rs 750 to a record high of Rs 63,500 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday. HDFC Securities gave this information.

At the end of the last trading session, the price of gold was Rs 62,750 per 10 grams. The price of silver also increased by Rs 800 to Rs 79,000 per kg. “Gold prices rose by Rs 750 to an all-time high of Rs 63,500 per 10 grams on Wednesday amid a bullish trend in overseas markets,” said Saumil Gandhi, senior analyst (commodity), HDFC Securities.

Both gold and silver remained strong in the global markets. Gold rose to $ 2,041 per ounce and silver strengthened to $ 24.95 per ounce. The spot price of gold in the commodity exchange Comex reached $ 2,041 an ounce, which is $ 27 more than the previous closing price.

Gandhi said that apart from the weakening of the dollar, statements by a Federal Reserve official indicated that the US central bank will start reducing interest rates next year. This boosted business sentiment and gold in Comex reached its highest level since May.
