Deepak Parekh, N. Chandrasekaran, Gautam Singhania, Ajay Piramal, and Ajit Gulabchand Exercise Their Franchise
Mumbai. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das and several prominent figures from the business world cast their votes on Wednesday for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections in the country’s financial capital.
Das, accompanied by his wife, voted at a polling station near his official residence in South Mumbai. He commended the election officials for their excellent arrangements. Former HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh also voted at a South Mumbai polling booth and urged everyone to exercise their right to vote.
Longtime associate of Parekh, Keki Mistry, also cast his vote at a nearby booth. Mistry recently retired as Vice Chairman and CEO of HDFC. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, voted in South Mumbai, describing voting as a privilege that everyone should take part in.
Industrialist Ajay Piramal, along with his wife Swati, cast their votes near their residence in Mumbai. After voting, Piramal encouraged citizens to exercise their franchise. Swati Piramal emphasized that the new government should prioritize issues related to children, women, and healthcare.
Prominent figures from the business world, including Gautam Singhania, head of Raymond Group, and Ajit Gulabchand, Chairman of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), also cast their votes, joining others from the industry in fulfilling their civic duty.
