New Delhi. iPhone maker Apple will open four more stores in India, which will be located in Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. The company will also soon introduce its first 'Made in India' iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the company said in a statement on Friday. Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of retail, said in a statement, "We are pleased to build out our teams as we plan to open more stores in India. We are inspired by the passion of our customers in this country.'' Apple opened its first two stores in India in April 2023 in Delhi and Mumbai.
The new stores are likely to be opened next year, according to people aware of the development. “Apple is now manufacturing all iPhone 16 models, including the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, in India,” the statement said.
