Naan Mudhalvan, a flagship initiative to transform the skilling landscape of Tamil Nadu by equipping students and youth with industry-relevant skills, today announced a strategic collaboration with Stellantis, one of the world's leading automakers and a mobility provider. To propel this collaboration, a comprehensive Faculty Development Program (FDP) has been crafted to empower educators in key disciplines such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (MECH), and Automobile Engineering. The FDP aims to equip faculty members with critical insights into emerging trends and cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of the automotive industry. By enhancing the knowledge and skills of educators, the program ensures that students benefit from an industry-relevant curriculum.
Expert-led sessions by senior executives and subject matter experts from Stellantis will provide valuable insights into the latest technological innovations driving the automotive sector, with a focus on integrating real-world industry practices into academic curricula to enhance students' employability and skillsets. The program will feature over 20 industry-trending sessions, led by more than 25 experts over the course of five intensive workshop days. Participants will gain exposure to cutting-edge trends in vehicle design, engineering, powertrain technologies, and autonomous and connected vehicles, while also benefiting from hands-on lab experiences and a plant tour for practical industry exposure. Upon completion, educators will receive a program certification, further empowering them to deliver advanced knowledge in their classrooms. This initiative is expected to benefit over 130 lecturers from 50+ colleges, indirectly impacting 10,000 students across the state, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving automotive and mobility sectors.

The Naan Mudhalvan initiative, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), plans to leverage the expertise gained through this FDP to introduce industry-relevant courses in the upcoming semesters. This will ensure that students across Tamil Nadu receive an up-to-date education, equipping them with skills that meet the demands of the fast-changing automotive sector.
Launched on March 1, 2022, Naan Mudhalvan is aligned with the vision of making Tamil Nadu the skill capital of India by creating job-ready individuals. The platform leverages technology to connect students, colleges, industry professionals, academicians, and mentors, fostering a collaborative ecosystem to transform the state’s skilling landscape.
