New Delhi. Rain coupled with strong wind on Monday evening affected air traffic. According to DIAL, the agency involved in the operation of IGI Airport, due to adverse weather, the routes of many flights coming to Delhi had to be changed. A total of 16 flights were diverted between 6 pm and 8 pm i.e. two hours later. During this period, Delhi's air route became very busy for some time. The situation was such that Vistara's flight coming from Guwahati to New Delhi was asked to go to Jaipur due to busy airways. Similarly, the flight coming from Kolkata to New Delhi was asked to go to Lucknow.
Airlines made this appeal to passengers : In view of the difficulty in taking off and landing of planes due to bad weather, all the airlines urged the passengers to keep an eye on the sites of the respective airlines for updates on the situation. Around two dozen flights from Delhi to various destinations faced delays between 6 pm and 8 pm.
where and when did the flight reach : According to DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited), out of the 16 flights whose routes were changed, 10 were asked to land at Jaipur, three at Lucknow, two at Amritsar and one at Ahmedabad.
