New record of Bombay Stock Exchange's market capital

Market capitalization reached 4000 billion dollars

Mumbai. The market capitalization of all the companies listed on BSE reached the record level of $ 4000 billion for the first time on Wednesday. BSE's 30-share Sensex rose 305.44 points to 66,479.64 in early trade. On the back of positive market trend, the market capitalization of BSE-listed companies reached Rs 3,33,26,881.49 crore in morning trade, which later converted into US $ 4000 billion at the exchange rate of 83.31.

The Sensex has increased by 5,540.52 points or 9.10 percent so far this year. The market capitalization of all the companies listed on the index has increased by about Rs 50.81 lakh crore. The 30-share BSE index had reached its all-time peak of 67,927.23 on September 15 this year. Among other markets, America, China, Japan and Hong Kong are the markets whose market registration is more than 4000 billion dollars. The market capitalization of all listed companies on BSE touched the US$ 3000 billion mark on 24 May 2021. On May 28, 2007, it crossed 1000 billion dollars. It took 2,566 days i.e. more than seven years to travel from $1000 billion to $1500 billion. On June 6, 2014, it touched the figure of 1500 billion dollars. Then after 1130 days, on July 10, 2017, the market capitalization reached the level of 2000 billion dollars. Market capitalization reached the level of $ 2500 billion on 16 December 2020, after 1,255 days.
