Big Basket tops Fairwork India ranking

- In this matter, the condition of companies like Ola and Porter was the worst.

- No company got more than six points   - Big Basket got only six points out of ten

New Delhi. Digital platforms Ola and Porter have received the lowest scores among digital labor platforms in terms of working conditions for temporary (gig) workers. Tata-owned Big Basket has topped this rating.

India's 12 digital labor platforms were evaluated under the 'Fairwork India Ratings 2023'. These platforms offer services in areas such as home and personal care, logistics, food delivery and transportation. The report released in this regard said, 'This year, no platform has got more than six points out of a maximum of 10.' Big Basket has got the maximum six points. After this, BlueSmart, Swiggy, Urban Company and Zomato got 5 points each. Zepto got four out of 10, Flipkart three, Amazon Flex two and Dunzo and Uber one each. Ola and Porter got zero points. Fairwork evaluated these platforms based on five principles. These principles are- fair wages, fair conditions, fair contracts, fair management and fair representation.
